The Activision representative's exact statement is as follows: However, the publisher currently has no timetable for fixes. In a brief statement, Activision acknowledges that there are a number game-breaking bugs present in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5, and expressed a desire to fix them. Unfortunately, the final release hasn't lived up to the level of anticipation that preceeded it, and Activision has now addressed that disappointment directly. Conan O'Brien even featured the latest entry into the Tony Hawk franchise as part of his "Clueless Gamer" series alongside Lil' Wayne. If it wasn't obvious from the start, then the amount of hype generated around the game certainly clued the rest of the gaming world in that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 would still be big business. Although the series has been away for some time, when Activision announced that the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise would return in the hands of developer Robomodo it became clear that there were still a lot of fans eager at the chance to skate again. The first few games, developed by Neversoft Studios, stand out as bold, innovative takes on the sports genre, and opened up doors through which other extreme sports classics like Jet Set Radio would later walk. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 has a lot of nostalgic name value to live up to.
